Dietetics

The skin is the largest organ of the human body and serves many important functions. Cosmetics, dermatological treatments and daily photoprotection all matter greatly for how it works, but at De Cute Clinic we believe comprehensive patient care would not be possible without cooperation between the dermatologist, the cosmetologist and the dietitian.

Protein, healthy fats - unsaturated fatty acids above all - vitamins, trace elements and antioxidants are the components that matter for healthy skin, hair and nails. The dietitian's job is to analyse eating habits and the way meals are put together, and to introduce changes matched to the patient's lifestyle so that all of those components end up in their daily menu.

That combination gives a far better chance of real, long-term improvement in the course of various dermatological conditions. Dietary consultations at our clinic are led by MSc Małgorzata Soroń-Lisik, a clinical dietitian specialising in diet therapy for diseases of the skin, hair and nails.

Consider a dietitian consultation if

  • you notice a link between your diet and the condition of your skin
  • you are dealing with acne, dryness or a hyper-reactive complexion
  • you see no improvement despite a correct skincare routine
  • you want to care for healthy skin in a more comprehensive way
  • you are looking for individual guidance rather than general advice

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does a clinical dietitian do at a dermatology clinic?

The clinical dietitian at De Cute specializes in diet therapy for skin diseases. They create personalized nutrition plans that support dermatological treatment - for conditions including atopic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, and hair loss. Diet is an integral part of comprehensive patient care.

How does diet affect skin health?

Diet has a direct impact on the condition of skin, hair, and nails. Deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, as well as food intolerances, can exacerbate skin inflammation, acne, and psoriasis. A properly tailored diet supports dermatological treatment and accelerates skin regeneration.

What does the first dietary consultation involve?

The first consultation lasts approximately 50 minutes. It includes a detailed nutrition and lifestyle interview, a body composition analysis, setting the goals of the therapy, and individual dietary recommendations matched to your health. A personalised meal plan is prepared separately, tailored to your health and lifestyle.

Do I need a referral for a dietary consultation?

No - a visit to the dietitian at De Cute does not require a referral. Consultations can be booked by phone or email. We recommend bringing any available laboratory test results, as this allows for a more thorough health assessment.
